In August 2013 Brons + Partners landscape architects was honored to guide a Chinese delegation interested in Dutch recreation development. We took a bike trip, together with the Chinese delegation, to explore the Amsterdam forest area. We visited the playing fields, the walk-, bicycle- and horse ways, the farmhouse, the boat rentals on the lakes, the campsite and the restaurant and information centre.
The Chinese people were very much interested to visit the different elements of the area and to learn about the basic principles of the layout, the use and the management. It was a nice chance to share knowledge from different backgrounds and discuss the topic of recreation development near the city of Amsterdam.
