Revitalization of industrial brick factory

In the river landscape of the Netherlands we find lots of old factories that produces bricks from the clay that is digged out the landscape. For one of this factories Brons + partners made a plan, to develop this cultural heritage in a high interesting public building and open space.

The plan shows three layers of history; the past, the present and the future, connected by a timeline. Nowadays the factory has been restored en renewed and functions as an information and visitor centre about the cultural heritage and the history of brick industry. It also offers information about nature values and forms a starting point for walking tours throughout the landscape.
